Alternative Energy Research And Development – University Activities Revealed
The need for alternative energy sources have been considered by us decades ago. Florida Statue University and Shell Energy have jointly conducted research on trees and the planting of biomass energy by planting crops is the largest in the United States. This assumes great importance in a situation where world oil supply peaks and finally beginning to decline. Fuel cells powered by hydrogen must be developed commercially for use as substitutes or in combination with conventional combustion engine for motorfordon.President Bush proposed recently focused research and development of five centers of the sun’s contribution to this initiative on alternative energy. This center is Oregon State University, funded by the state to 80 million spread over four years for the duration of this particular mission.
