First and foremost, the output of wind generator preset to 14. 1 volt (for charging batteries, you know. The preset can be adjusted from 13 to 17 volts, by the way). 14e 1 volt divided into 400 watts is 28 amps, so the specs are correct as specified in the product description. Remember to never forget the difference between 120 volts AC and 12 to 14 volts DC power – it is really important for things like alternative energy.
Of course, you just about 400-watt maximum output with a steady 28 mph wind. But the device will not “go up in smoke” at this point that any reviewer said – all wind turbines have been built in the cutting system that prevents them from going over their rated capacity and are damanged. C’mon, folks.. . people who do these things are not dummies.
But it is true that there are not many places in the world where you get 28 mph winds blowing a regular and continuous basis. Anyone considering this purchase or looking to wind power in general should thoroughly check the manual. Wind energy can be wonderful in the right position and in many other places you * can * be combined with the sun to be powered by the sun shining and wind energy when it is dark (the wind often blows well at night) or when it is really cloudy / windy (this which also usually means good wind).
In this era everything is made-in-China, it is wonderful to see a solid product that is price – competition that this reality made in the USA by Southwest Windpower Inc. in Flagstaff, Arizona. When I come to shoot to add some capability of wind to my existing installation solar panel, this book would be a good choice, because a 60-watt solar panel running around the same price. Thus, you can add 60 watts of wind for about the same cost as adding 60 watts of solar energy – and with a hybrid system that you can take advantage of both alternative technologies . Think outside the barrel!

I have this wind turbine connected to
8 6 volt deep cycle batteries run my
2 bedroom home off the grid. we run 2 TV DVD player and
compact fluorescent light in the bedroom and kitchen
without having to return to our generator. We do not have a microwave,
and our refrigerator runs on propane. But after using our
generator high for 2 months at $ 15. 00 for gas on a daily basis,
machine will be depreciated rapidly noise is minimal. Looks like he does remember the chirping of birds. You can not use it to execute
Vacum cleaners washing machines and dryers and things like that but if you need a little energy for
lighting and small appliances this wind is high.

Bought my first turbine, a month ago, and found the tree to the front of the camera not to run in less than a wind of 25 mph, rma’d Back to Amazon ( best) and no thank you goes to the southwest, 8 days for a response. . . . slow to say the least. . . However, I have my replacement unit, and it turns easier but the output is not close to the rated 27 amps, I can hardly see 2-3 amps @ 30 mph winds, so close, I’ll keep one, just for the fact that this and it looks cool up on the stem, but in future I think I just continue to expand my solar array, see 5 + amps 15watts Sunforce panels 7 in winter. . . .

I had one of these generators for a while. It did not work for me, so I bought 6 sheets and put them on and it works fine now. I found that adding a battery at the bottom of the tower, it works better. My power of the main battery is approximately 125 m from the tower and putting a battery into the base of the generator tower to complete the battery on the cradle and the battery will transfer power to other batteries. If you have the batteries away from the tower, then they have lost the cable when the generator reads the battery to keep some distance, recharge the batteries. Appliances Hsydrogen sell 6 sets of leaves to add the generator, and provides advice on how to make a tail even better. They have the blade kit on ebay for the wind power generator. The tail can be supported by information on their website.
I have not tried the device to hydrogen generator wind yet but will someday.
My cabin remote uses DC power its lights and radio. You can also buy light bulbs, DC to work well.

Go to Sunforce site to read the manual and check the power curve. The specified 400W output is 28 mph. The production of a more typical 15 mph is 50W or 3. 5 amps for the 14th 1Vdc controller installation.
