The Differences Between Clean Energy, Renewable Energy, and Alternative Energy

For many, the distinction between “alternative energy” “renewable energy” and “clean energy”, not be obvious. But each term is unique and has its own definition. These three conditions are not all exactly the same thing.

Alternative Energy

When we talk about alternative energy, we refer you to sources of useful energy that can replace conventional energy sources (most often, without side effects). The “alternative energy” is usually used to refer to sources of energy that nuclear power and fossil fuels.

During the story, “alternative energy” refers to different things. There was a time when nuclear power was seen as an alternative to conventional energy sources, and was therefore called “alternative energy sources.” But times have changed.

These days, a form of “alternative energy” may be renewable energy or clean energy, or both. The terms are often interchangeable, but certainly not the same.

Renewable Energy

Renewable energy is a type of energy from renewable resources like wind, rain, sun, geothermal heat and tides. It is called “renewable” because it does not end. You can always get more of it.

People began to turn to this type of energy because of rising oil prices and hoping that maybe someday the distribution of depleting fossil fuels, and because of concerns about the negative effects of our conventional energy sources have on the environment.

Of all the different types of renewable energy, wind energy is one that develops its use. The number of users who have some form of installed capacity of wind power has increased, with a current worldwide capacity is approximately 100 GW.

Clean Energy

“Clean energy” is simply a form of energy produced by methods clean, safe and clean.

More renewable energy is clean energy. But not all.

One such example is geothermal energy. This can be a source of renewable energy, geothermal processes, but some can be harmful to the environment. Therefore, it is not always clean energy. But there are also other forms of geothermal energy that are safe and clean.

Clean energy does not have any impact on our environment than conventional power sources. It creates a negligible amount of carbon dioxide and its use can reduce the speed of global warming – or global pollution.

As you can see, alternative energy, clean energy and renewable energy are very similar. But it is important to know that there are differences.

There are many measures that can be taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere. Some of these measures can be taken in your own home. Many clean energy solutions can be easily installed, and some kits are quite affordable.

Emissions of carbon dioxide and other pollutants are not only heavy industry plants. The creation of the common house, too. Energy efficiency has become an important aspect of our lives.

It is important to start making changes now if we are to save our planet for our children, flora and fauna of the earth, and the future of humanity. Clean energy, to be exact, can make a big difference.
